Art direction for product and lifestyle photography

My Role

One of my primary roles as an Art Director at NatureBox was planned and executing bi-monthly photoshoots for new products and special collections, to be used on our website, across social media channels, in print collateral, and digital campaigns.

Mood Boards & Shot Lists
I developed mood boards and shot lists for each product, including suggested camera angles, props, and intended usage for each photo. Detailed planning was essential to help the photographer understand the goals of each shoot.

Food Styling
For our in-house photoshoots, I regularly sourced and purchased props and food and styled each shot in collaboration with our photographer. For some of our larger on-location shoots, we were lucky to work with some of the top food stylists in San Francisco!

On-Location Lifestyle Photoshoots
I planned several larger-scale product and lifestyle shoots while at NatureBox. I collaborated with our Head of Brand to find a photographer, cast models, and choose shooting locations.
